Chrissy Taylor has emerged as a popular and respected New Zealand artist, since establishing herself in 2014. Based in Cambridge, her work is exhibited in galleries locally, and throughout New Zealand.

Chrissy works in a variety of mediums, but is particularly skilled with acrylic ink and pencils. Her most popular works include “Foxed”, “Wishful Thinking” and her gold-foiled “Stag”.

Chrissy is self taught and describes her style as abstract realism. In particular, she seeks to capture the essence of light and space in her work and to maintain a joie de vivre and playful tone throughout.

Her passions are frequently the topic of her works, and her lifetime love of horses and the wildlife of New Zealand are bought to the fore.

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
